Day 196 Mile 196: Tide’s Out Clouds Down. Today I have managed to make a return to Conwy Parkrun. It is a bit of an odd day the tide is out and yet it is quite warm with occasional drizzle. While this makes the overall scene a bit dull it brings the fine details into sharp relief; with iridescent colours heightened in comparison to the muted light and droplets of water providing jewel like reflections with their unexplored dimensional facets. It was lovely being able to potter in the quiet time before the 9am start and just appreciate some of the ‘normal’ sights along the route.
The run itself was also good fun albeit a bit flat and rainy, a new PB and great to see Pete completing his 100th Parkrun. If this morning has taught me anything it is to slow down and appreciate what is hidden in plain sight around the edges of life. As a result I am now off into the town of Conwy itself to get bread from the bakers, sausages from the butchers and make breakfast for some friends who have just become Grandparents (congratulations to all of you) 🙂 This could be the start of a lovely weekend. I hope yours goes well too.
I’m running a mile each day everyday for 2017. If you feel you can sponsor me please do, as all the money raised will go to the Cleft Lip & Palate Association (CLAPA) who provide services all across the UK to support people affected by it.
Distance: 5035.8 meters recorded
(1 mile = 1609.34 m.)
Thanks as ever for all the support!
