Day 173 Mile 173: Running Between Raindrops. Today there is rain, for what feels like the first time in ages, and it feels great. For the majority of today’s run I have managed to time it to stay dry, and the lower temperature, extra breeze, and not to mention haircut make the whole enterprise far more tolerable.
Running along the top road it was beautiful to find a flower blooming out of a fence post. The upright itself was wreathed in barbed wire, rusting metal work and rain droplets, marking out the boundaries of the natural world and man’s squalid attempts taming it. On top was a wonderful little plant, in bloom against all the odds, and somehow it made me very happy!
The run back down the hill though mud and brambles did not though!
I’m running a mile each day everyday for 2017. If you feel you can sponsor me please do, as all the money raised will go to the Cleft Lip & Palate Association (CLAPA) who provide services all across the UK to support people affected by it.
