Day 115 mile 115: Under a Simpsons’ Sky

Day 115 mile 115: Under a Simpsons’ Sky. Today the clouds are scudding across the blue sky and the light has a supersaturated feel to it. This probably means that there is a storm on the way but quite frankly, right now, it feels like the opening of The Simpsons.

Dashing out for a run before the skies could open there is a distinct chill to the air and upon returning I have found that it was indeed snowing in Sheffield last night, in-spite of being so far on in the year.

The cold weather even seems to have put off the birds who do not seem to be singing half as much this morning, and their cries seem to be largely eclipsed by the chirps of people unlocking their cars to prepare for the daily commute.

That said it was a pleasant (albeit low key) run down to the shops and back and I managed to stay dry although it is possibly a bit windy and chilly for t-shirt and shorts! I bet this is all because my daughter got a deckchair as one of her birthday presents!

I’m running a mile each day everyday for 2017. If you feel you can sponsor me please do, as all the money raised will go to the Cleft Lip & Palate Association (CLAPA) who provide services all across the UK to support people affected by it.
