Day 108 mile 108: Blossom. One of the unexpected joys of running everyday for a year is becoming more aware of the subtle but inexorable shifts in nature over time; the lengthening of days, phases of the tide, growth and decay. (Running clearly affords me too long to think!)
With the Spring the trees have been in blossom for some while, so before they shed their petals I decided that it was probably a good idea to go out with an intention of appreciating this phenomena foremost in mind.
Park Plas Mawr used to contain a grand residence but now only the grounds and foundations remain. Fortunately, around it there is a large amount of mixed woodland including a number of ornamental cherry trees.
Thanks as ever for all the support 🙂
I’m running a mile each day everyday for 2017. If you feel you can sponsor me please do, as all the money raised will go to the Cleft Lip & Palate Association (CLAPA) who provide services all across the UK to support people affected by it.
