Day 83 mile 83: The sun has got his hat on!
It is a beautiful day today, a promised bank of high pressure has finally worked its way here, ushering in clear skies and spring sunshine. There is still a chill in the wind and the white horses it kicks up along the Menai Straits beautifully mirror the snow that still crests the peaks of the mountains as they peer over the foothills that surround the city.
Today’s run takes me out from the University buildings and along the edge of the sea skirting past the stone circle, down to the pier and looping back up the hill to the start. There is a translucent quality to the light; in the sunlight primary colours of cars and buildings jump out incredibly vibrantly and in the shade the blends of rock and ivy take on an almost downy texture in contrast. It’s a great day to be out, especially mid-morning due to a meeting which was shorter than expected…. Double win!
I’m running a mile each day everyday for 2017. If you feel you can sponsor me please do, as all the money raised will go to the Cleft Lip & Palate Association (CLAPA) who provide services all across the UK to support people affected by it.
