Day 82 mile 82: In memory of Tegwyn Jones. Today’s mile is dedicated to my Father-in-(common) Law, Tegwyn Jones, whose funeral it is today. Teg was a keen runner and lived a ridiculously full life until he was taken from us after a brief illness. The cover photo for today’s run is one of my daughter proudly finding Taidie1 Teg’s photo online, a couple of days after his having completed the 2015 Snowdonia Half Marathon.
It’s a beautiful morning out there on the prom, with a sky that is clear for the moment and the sun cresting over the mountains, outlining the top of the western hills opposite in a glistening light. I kept expecting to see Teg’s orange hi-viz, which he almost always wore for cycling, running (or life in general!) to come bobbing along the tarmac in the opposite direction 🙂 This one’s for you mate, Iechyd da! YNWA.

I’m running a mile each day everyday for 2017. If you feel you can sponsor me please do, as all the money raised will go to the Cleft Lip & Palate Association (CLAPA) who provide services all across the UK to support people affected by it.
