Day 24 mile 24: ‘Milestones & Pirates’. Firstly a massive thanks to all who have donated towards the fundraising part of this adventure, yesterday evening the total raised topped £300. Thank you so much!
This afternoon finds me above Abergele in the woods around Gallt Melin Wynt (Tower Hill), on top of which is a c17th watchtower. Apparently it was originally used to look out to sea to warn of marauding pirates. I hope that’s the case 🙂
It’s a seriously hard slog up there but the view at the top and the mad descent back down through the woods makes it worth it. I’m proud to say that inspite of being very slow on the way up I managed to run all of it. Yay!
Distance: 2162.4 meters recorded
(1 mile = 1609.34 m.)
I’ll be running a mile each day everyday for 2017. If you feel you can sponsor me, all the money raised will go to the Cleft Lip & Palate Association (CLAPA) who provide services all across the UK to support people affected by it.
